Arrival time: March 2005
Intro: The first time I saw something about Thailand it was in a movie called "The Beach" with LeonardoDicaprio. When I was in China , the immigration office denied my visa extension , so I had to leave China within 24 hours...I found a great offer to Bangkok, Thailand... I left Bangkok after 3 days because I was really tired of the mess and thousand of fucking tourists traveling like fucking apes in mass because of getting bitches at more affordable prices...you suck!. Phuket town, was quieter (fucking tourists apart) and the local people were nice, kind , helpful and sportive. I was impressed how the valor of the family was high there. Couple of weeks later I went to to an island off the coast of Phuket which was even better than the one in the movie.. Thailand is not that poor as they show...

<< Yes, Alan Rooster with the clutches ! As you can see by the description of my short video, I was climbing a coconut tree , and on my way down , I slide off the tree and trying to stop my descending I cut my foot badly! Right after , it got infected but I still didn't want to seek medical assistance. But when I couldn't walk anymore then I had to go to the hospital to have it checked.  It looks excessive for a cut under my foot but I really couldn't place my right leg on the ground because it was too damn painful!

The Beach movie: Speak of the devil - and he shall appear. :)

In the movie "The Beach" they tell us a little lie on the shooting location: at the beginning of the film, they show that Richard (DiCaprio) is located in Bangkok and after couple of clips he is lodging in a Hostel for couple of days...The truth is that this hostel is not located in Bangkok but in Phuket Town. The case was that me and Jonatan, a canadian backpacker, had the idea to check out some videos from the movie as we wanted to travel to PhiPhi Island , so while watching it we started to notice something familiar: in these picture you can see that the place where we were staying is the same as the place in the sequences of the film. So we ran to the reception asking if that was really the hostel where the americans had come to shoot the movie. The attendant confirmed our supposition ! The hostel was that one!

>> Patong beach, after the tsunami you can still see some damages structures around the costal area

Me and Jonatan, while waiting for the boat to  Raya Yai Island in Chalong port , a boat to we met a weird guy who wanted at all cost to bring us back to his house cook dinner for us, some nice grilled fish, After dinner we went back to the port and we found the company of two nice thai girls working as waitresses in a Pub in front of the port who entertain us for sometime. And after that we just slept on a bench.

Racha Yai:

Why visit Phi-Phi Island when you can access farther , less touristic and more beautiful shores? That's it , me and Jonatan decided to go for an adventure on Racha Yai island. After couple of nights we have been discouraged by some locals who magically appeared on the island and tried to make us leave the place.

Other: To view more pictures and video you can check Jonatan's page, a Canadian guy met at the ON-ON hostel. I spent with him cool moments and shared a nice adventures...
