Travels - Panama 2005

Back Back to Travels main

Arrival time: 24/09/2005
2 Days
in Panama: I was flying to Costa Rica with a stop in Panama, and when I landed in Panama I had been transferred on another airplane: everyone was already in , with the seat belts already fasten, ready to fly,  when suddenly the commander announced that San Jose (Costa Rica) airport was closed for bad weather conditions and afterwards they canceled and delayed the flight for the next 2 days. When I heard that I said OHHH SSSSHIT !!.... So I went off the airplane and plug my laptop in an airport socket to take a look at the Rooster's magic address book! And I found out I had a contact in Panama...! I called her immediately and she ran to the airport to fetch me and I have been hosted in her house for 2 days: she guided me to Panama city all around.  Cely was living in a district called "Manos de piedra" in honor of a boxing local champion.  I like the weather of Panama, hot and humid. I had a look at the map and I found out there are many many small and tropical island to be visited. They told me some of those islands have been used for the TV-show: "Survival".   At the end I had a nice time and I think I'll go back to Panama to visit those nice islands around there...! The only thing is that I found the city somewhat expensive due to its currency (the american dollar).   This time I was lucky cause she had a digital camera and at least I had the chance to record a memory!

<< Cely B. (Panama City), hosted me for couple of nights. She likes to travel too, she has been to Europe and most of the south america. A 24h-girl, she works hard and she sleeps only a few hours per day to enjoy the night parties. Everything ok, very kind, a good company, a good chatter, honest and with a great smile.
