fire skill

This is a great project!
I think the first skill need to learn is how to bilud a fire,right?
I remember when I was little,I built a fire succesfully by using magnifying glass~
Is there any better way to do that?

According to what I've read, there are several different techniques for starting a fire, but mainly there are 3 common techniques: one is with some type of stones that can produce sparks, the other is , if im not wrong called "bow" , indeed you'll have to first build yourself an instrument resembling a bow, which will help you to roll another wooden stick on to a wooden flat table and tinder, the third one consists in rubbing 2 pieces of wood. The problem with technique number one and number is that those stones or dry woods are quite rare to find, im not so sure they can even be found on enviroments like deserted islands...
Technique number 2 is quite hard , do not underestimate it , but of course it can be done with lots of practice on site...
I do not know about magnifying glass , but i think it it might not be so railable if the weather it's cloudy for a week , or let's say it's dark or rainy , or you want to build a fire after 5 o clock.. I guess you need strong sun for the magnifying glass technique...

well anyone can comment on other "natural" techniques ?
